Louis Arthur Jagot
JAGOT Louis Arthur Jagot passed away on February 5, 2012 at 11:00 p.m. Beloved husband of Carolyn E. Korndorffer Jagot after 46 years of marriage. Loving father of Marlene Ann and Gilbert Andrew Jagot. Son of the late Louis Joseph Jagot and Alma Nelson Dooley Jagot. Brother of the late Lillian Dooley Groetsch and Jane Gail Jagot.
Mr. Jagot was a graduate of Redemptorist High School "Class of 1952", a United States Army Korean War Veteran, serving in the Infantry 29th Regimental Combat Team.
Upon his discharge, he went to work for South Central Bell Telephone at night time while attending Delgado Community College during the day time, where he received a diploma in electronics and after 28 years of service with Bell South and seven years with AT&T, retired as a Public Branch Exchange Technician, a member of Communication Workers of America Local # 3410 and 3450, Life Member of Telephone Pioneers and VFW Post # 6640, a Parishioner of St. Edward Catholic Church and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Aged 78 years, a native and former resident of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 14 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Wednesday afternoon February 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery #1.
